I have been blessed with a career in policing that is now in year 36, with 22 years as a Police Sergeant. The ideas behind Renaissance Sergeant have been floating around in my mind for many of these years. During my career, I have held a variety of assignments as an instructor, Officer, Detective, and Sergeant. I spent the first 34 years at a mid-sized agency with a bit north of 200 sworn officers. Starting in 2022, I moved to the other end of the spectrum to an agency of less than 50 sworn.
I have always approached leadership and supervision from the heart of a teacher and strive to leave a legacy by sharing all I know with those around me. I invite you to come and join me in this adventure where we both can grow.
